holy crap arts! these are all trading card sized, and all some mix of watercolor, gouache, some acrylic, and pen. hooray arts!

doodle for the sake of doodling. want to try to get back to my "actual" current project tomorrow and since i havent painted in a while, i thought a warm-up was in order.

6x6 watercolor on bristol

couple watercolors ive managed to find time for in amongst getting sunburned and seeing Rio. leopard is from May 8, hummingbird is from tonight.

boredom cockatoo. the head is weird, but i usually have trouble with bird heads. guess more practice is in order. hurumph.

yay seahorse-thing.

mixed media (mostly watercolor, but also some gouache and acrylic, lines done in prisma pens) at 11x15. this took way too long to finish.

watercolor hawk. not sure what species, reference photo was from the FM forum, but it didnt say. i started drinking sweet tea vodka about half way through the feathering, which is when it all started getting really linear and symmetrical. i hate when i lose the natural chaos when it comes to feathers... oh well, perhaps i'll nail it someday.

little painting on a little bit of wood i had sitting on my desk forever and a day. been wanting to do something with it, and this fit the shape. about 2x2.5 inches, acrylic and watercolor. ive been wanting to paint an ammonite for a while, but this is kinda small so i might have to do another one. :P
